    Trophy Shipping Air vs Ocean

Well, the costs are about the same in the long run. There is also a greater chance of damage from water, etc. We have had problems with USDA in LAX & JFK, and they can hold things up. Our best routing lately has been on Delta from Jo-burg to ATL to SEA, where we are situated. There are also...

Namibia Donation Letters for CITES APP. II Hunting Trophies

Also, if you have something made out of a CITES trophy animal part, like hippo foot bowls or a tailswish, those are also considered Personal items and will need a seperate CITES

    Trophy Shipping Air vs Ocean

Hi, Even tho Coppersmith is our competetion, their rep is correct- we also recommend air freight. You can clear the trophies yourself, but unless you know what you're doing, it's probably easier to have someone else do it. Just my 2 cents...

Report of our Actual Expenses to ship trophies out of Namibia

Not necessarily true...if they are going to the same place, and everyone has proper documentation, then it's not a problem

    Even Hunters Have Big Hearts

A hunter and his friend were sitting in a tall tower stand near Highway 7 in Minnesota early one cold December morning. Suddenly, a huge buck walked out over the corn they had spread in the low shrubs. The buck was magnificent, a once in a lifetime animal. His rack was huge. The hunter's hand...

Getting rid of mothball smell from trophies?

Hello all, I just had a hunter ask how to get rid of that awful mothball smell that is lingering on his recent shipment of trophies. I'm wondering if sprinkling with baking soda and then vacuuming off carefully would be okay? I'm thinking Fabreeze might stain them...Anyone have a remedy for...

Can you ship more than one hunters trophies in a shared crate?

Another point to consider is having them mounted over there- it will cost more to ship as the crates would be bigger. The airlines charge based on dim weight or actual weight, so you are better off (costwise) having any mounting done here in the US.

Can you ship more than one hunters trophies in a shared crate?

Yes, you can if they are all destined for the same place, like a taxidermist.

    African Rhino poaching crisis

There a a few things that really bother me about these criminals, besides the incredibly cruel actions they took. First off, they are professionals that are suppossed to be helping, not hurting. Another thing, I know that I have seen documents with some of those names come thru here, so I feel...

    SCI Show 2011

Hi all, I am thinking about attending the Reno show- do I need to be an SCI member? Now that importing trophies is the main focus of my job, I think it would be a great idea to go-I think it would be very informative. I'll bet rooms go fast, so I'd better make up my mind- thanks!
