    45-70 dangerous game?

It all depends on the bullet and how much velocity can you get. I load for a friend’s 450 NE double. He has a shoulder injury and can’t take full recoil. For his softs I load 295gr. Cutting edge safari raptors, and for solids I use 325gr. Safari solids at 2150 fps. To date he has killed 4 Cape...

New and Unused - Safari Purse w/ Buffalo and Zebra skin

If there is another one, or the deal falls through, I’ll take it.

Why nobody on this forum talks about Jeff Rann Safaris?

I have a buddy that booked a Hunt with Jeff several years ago. Circumstances changed and he ended up having to cancel the hunt a full year out. Jeff would not refund his deposit. Just so you know there may be some integrity issues.

A thorough conversation with Swarovski - Conclusion: Rookhawk knows nothing and is wrong about everything

What they didn’t tell you was that the family that own Swarovski, considers their sport Optics line to be the redheaded bastard step child of the family. If it wasn’t so lucrative, they wouldn’t make them at all because they don’t really care for them. Also, I learned a long time ago if you...

    Alliant powders

Alliance sells every pound of powder they can absolutely get into the United States. Which is about a fifth of what they used to be able to considering that they can only put powder on one cargo container per cargo ship.

Which rifles run fastest for driven hunt

Instead of wondering about which specific action to use, I suggest about 10,000 rapid cycles of the bolt and pulling of the trigger. Can be a combination of dry fire and live fire, but I would start with the 10,000 number and work up from there.

Barnes TSX vs Swift A-Frame on Buffalo

I apologize First, as I did not read the entire thread, so I am not sure if this recommendation has already been made. Please do not look past Cutting Edge bullets as an option. In my mind for dangerous game they are the most superior bullet on the market, bar none. I have been loading this...

    Zkk Parts

Sorry, no extractor. There was not one in the box of parts I received. Apparently it never made it to me.

    Zkk Parts

Let me recheck. I thought it was a 601 extractor, but the post says 600. It will be this evening.

Which one should be my third rifle and why...

I’m probably gonna get a lot of hate vibes in my direction for this, but I don’t think you could do any better than the 6.5Creedmoor. First off, I have never seen an inaccurate one. Second off, Hornady makes ammo from 95 grain varmint bullets to 147 grain long range, target bullets, and...

Which one should be my third rifle and why...

I think the only way to answer this with any kind of degree of accuracy is what are you planning on hunting with it.

Oberndorf Goodness… What to do, What to do

And if you want to go even heavier, and really get esoteric, there is the 9.3 X 57. There were a very few original Oberndorf Mauser spotters made in this caliber, so it would not be unauthentic. And also, regardless of what many will tell you, it is not that difficult to load for this caliber...

Oberndorf Goodness… What to do, What to do

If you want to shoot heavies 8 x 57. If you want a more lithe planes game type gun 6.5x57. Might even hold out for a vintage gun that has an octagon to round barrel and buy it just for the barrel. Those barrels now cost at least $2000 to have made.
