And if you want to go even heavier, and really get esoteric, there is the 9.3 X 57. There were a very few original Oberndorf Mauser spotters made in this caliber, so it would not be unauthentic. And also, regardless of what many will tell you, it is not that difficult to load for this caliber...

If you want to shoot heavies 8 x 57. If you want a more lithe planes game type gun 6.5x57. Might even hold out for a vintage gun that has an octagon to round barrel and buy it just for the barrel. Those barrels now cost at least $2000 to have made.
