I saw that, but looking for others opinions on the feel of the place. Being that it caters to sightseeing tourists etc., I just want to know what it’s like! I’ve done the high fence in Limpopo and that’s not what I want.

Has anyone hunted the Pongola Game Reserve in SA? I’m considering a Buffalo hunt there, but need some feedback! Definitely don’t want the high fence experience and this seems as close to free range as possible in SA. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!

Thank you for the quick reply! I am a bit concerned about the human presence. Not sure how I’m going to react to that. Can you get away from the villages and be out in the wild areas and still expect good hunting. I like the idea of sharing everything with the villages, but not too into hunting...

How was the hunt for buffalo, roan and sable?

Getting very close to pulling the trigger on a trip for Buffalo and Elephant with Dalton and York. I’ve read great hunt reports on here so far. Any other input/advice from other members? Just trying to get as much input as possible!! Thank you
