    Dakota/Parkwest firing pin issues resolved?

I didn't want to derail the previous thread regarding Dakota model 10s. At one point Dakota model 10s were known for firing pin breakages. I really like the looks of them, and would like to order one. Does anyone know if the new Parkwest Firearms has addressed this issue? Thanks in advance for...

    Roe deer hunt 2026

Just finished a little hunt in Spain, just an hour north of Barcelona. I told the guide I was interested in a nice hunt and a representative or cull animal would be ok, as I would not be shipping it home. It was a fun hunt and we saw lots of wild boar.

@MS 9x56 in Oregon, specifically SW Oregon, wolves are still considered endangered. Could you imagine the media firestorm should a retired "game warden" shoot an endangered species? I've always wanted to be on the "cover of the Rolling Stone," but I'll take a pass on that story. In the past...

I posted the elk pics a few days ago. At 6 this morning, I had a wolf visit. In this photo, it's 300 yards out. It eventually came in to about 125, but those are all videos. This wolf is part of the "Grouse Ridge" pack in SW Oregon.

I have returned to conducting Timberland security. I sleep in my camp trailer two to three nights a week. Here was my view when I came "home." A week ago I watched a bear walk out about 15 degrees to the right of these elk. Here is a photo of the opposite side of Mt McGloughlin. The opposite...

    Politics

Just prior to retirement 8 years ago. I dont know how many baldies I caught; injured and ill, but maybe 10? 12? Klamath has the largest wintering population in the lower 48. We also have a good breeding population. Cheers and thanks for allowing me to reminisce.

    on a lighter note...

I have several now. The four colors help me with notebook entries; different colors for different clients. Where I currently sit, checking AH on my phone.

If money were no object, where would you hunt and why

While hunting ibex in Spain, I met a Mongolian outfitter and guide. I really enjoyed spending time with him. If money were no object, I'd book argali and ibex with him. As another member suggested, Id also take all family members, especially the grand kids, to Africa. What a joy it would be to...

Last Minute Cancellation Hunt - Deposit Already Paid

Back to the subject at hand... someone book this please, before it starts a fight in our house. She's shot me down once already as we will be just getting back from a Spain Roebuck hunt. Then she wants fishing in Alaska. I think I could squeeze this in, but someone please take it so I can stay...
