One option that gives the spacial awareness of irons and the accuracy of a scope is having a long eye relief scope. Gives you your peripheral vision back while still giving you the magnification and sight picture of a scope. This is what I use on my ruger scout.
Idk how much you guys know about engineering but I can tell you solar and wind are probably the WORST options we have right now for energy (and damn are those windmills butt ugly) wave power, nucelar, and fusion energy, supplemented with solar for smaller needs is my prediction for the future.
I'm in college as an engineer and I was always taught to try and fix problems no matter how hard. If we get stuck in our ways with fossils fuels we will eventually die out we need to progress to new forms of energy. Many may fail or be bad but we have to make those mistakes to progress.
I've done practically every variation of smoking there is but one that I just never got was smoking cigars. Why would one risk oral cancer when you don't even or rarely get any "buzz". I've been given a few cigars when hanging with family members I have no idea what kind but besides the taste...
How do you think rounds will progress with new advancements in telescoped and telescoped caseless ammo do you think these will have any use outside of the military. Im thinking self defense but for hunting where you arent carrying so many rounds that there weight is as much of a factor im having...
I think it’s the age difference I’m 18 and everyone else is much older here but this probably sounds stupid but all my friends want as the “premium” cigars are swisher sweets because they are the best cigars for rolling blunts. All these your talking about are way to good for that purpose lol...
I think it should be the animal thats the danger part not its environment. I also think you guys are right in terms of the animal being an icon as danger isn't everything. If it was the whitetail would be number 1 as it kills the most people per year in NA and the mosquito would easily top any...
I've seen this debated before but most people seem to leave out the fact that Africa's big five was done by choosing the hardest and most dangerous animals to HUNT. Personal this would be my list and I'm curious to see yours.
Grizzly
Polar Bear
Cougar
Bison
having a really tough time with this...
I've never really had anyone to hunt with ever since I started and now that my brothers moving away for a job there actually isn't anyone I know to even hunt with which really only leaves me with getting someone into it. Best option is my best friend who has the right qualities for a hunting but...
Luckily i'm in Florida so I already have some the hardest ones under my belt; fulvous whistling ducks, black bellied whistling duck, and mottled duck. Alaska definitely has the hardest ones to get to and actually kill. Can't wait to go there for moose and waterfowl some day.
1. Harlequin
2. Cinnamon Teal
3. King Eider
4. Red Grouse
5. Brant
and Gizmo I do agree wood ducks are beautiful I just get them often enough to not call it a bucket list bird although it is a treat for the eyes and mouth when you do get one.
Cinnamon teal is one of my top bucket list ducks. I think they look better than almost all other ducks besides my personal favorite the harlequin. It hurt to pass salt lake when I went to Yellowstone last summer knowing to get a cinnamon I would probably have to go back there at some point.
Also these extreme expanding rounds have trouble going though clothes and certainly would work against bone. Copper petals also have the tendency to break off when shot.
