I can assure you that combo is fine for humans fired out of a 20” barrel. I don’t see why it would fail on a 80 lb impala.

Brass work hardens quite rapidly. Every time you fire, and every time you resize, the neck gets harder, and more brittle. Without annealing, I get maybe 4 reloads out of my 30-06 fired out of my M1. Annealing after every two reloads, I get 8. At 9 reloads, the neck is so thin they start...

I am going to say the 9.3 because I really hate the .308 It gives up a lot to the 30-06 in terms of power and the ability to handle heavy bullets. It gives up a lot to the Swedish 6.5 and 6.5 Creedmor in terms of long range precision and wind resistance. It just didn’t do anything well...

Some places won’t allow you to hunt without suppression. They are very useful for pest work, where you are trying to knock down as many as possible. My neighbors don’t appreciate a .308 going off at 2 am when the coyotes are out.
