I'm an avid shooter, but quit hunting sometime back. I came to this site because I'm interested in big game calibers among many other calibers. Both my sons have taken up with hunting where I left off. One is off elk hunting in New Mexico right now, and the other son spent the last three years in Alaska where he did a lot of hunting and fishing while serving in the Coast Guard. He harvested a very nice Kodiak Bear, Mountain Sheep, Deer, and Caribou.
The other thing that brought me here is that I wrote a letter to David Ommanney when I was about twelve to ask him how I could become a PH when I got older. He was nice enough to write me back. I found his story about the leopard on this site after about two days of hunting for it (not the type of hunting I had in mind when I wrote Mr. Ommanney!) No internet back then.
