    Philip, I think you are spot on. I also wonder if we are not being gamed/extorted for not having the complete taxidermy done over there? I have a good friend who went to SA last April with his sons. They had their trophies done completely over there, and he received them, completed, last month...

    Migra, The frustrating part is that I took the same approach as you: Only have the bare minimum done over there (D&P). The actual tanning took place over here, at probably one of the most reputable tanners in the US....

    Mark, Thanks for the reply/advice. I may well do one of the capes as suggested, as they are destined for the trash anyways. Would you be kind enough to provide the mixture ratio for the brine, length of soak, etc to help me get this underway? Nothing ventured, nothing gained! Chris
