Micro Red Dot Sight Options for Double Rifles

This can be done by milling away a piece of the rib and mounting a base plate in the slot. Similar to post #3 of this topic, however there a rail is inserted. I prefer an insert of a rail on which a quick mount can be placed.

    Scotland holiday this summer

Thanks for the tips. Some we had already seen pass by. The others are definitely worth checking out.

    Scotland holiday this summer

Last winter we were able to book all of our sleeping accommodations. Mostly on farms. Barns as well as luxury tents. The Efteling is also something we are going to do soon.

    Scotland holiday this summer

Hello. In a few weeks we will be traveling through Scotland for 2 weeks. I am still looking to fill some mornings or afternoons. We will arrive in Newcastle port and drive straight through to Scotland. We stay each time a few days in the same area: Loch Lomond, Loch Ness/Lochy and Skye. I am...

Noblex Red Dot Sights - Feedback?

They are the same. Noblex is the new name. I am quite happy about them. Nice round dot. I only have the 3.5 moa dot. Keeps its zero. I also like target shooting @100yards with them

These animals deserve their own rifle

Because repeats are "not allowed", otherwise it was a lot of DR 450/400, DR 9.3, bolt or DR or kipplauf. 8x57/7x65r/308 And because I don't have to pay, it's the big names, otherwise it would be merkel, sauer, quality local artisan (Belge). Given it is about hunting, I do not assume a mayhem...

Furthest, Flattest Shooting Double Rifle Caliber?

The 7x65r or 30 blaser seem to me to be the best contenders in this day and age. The 7x75r comes to my mind also. It fits into this category with the added bonus of finding or making the ammunition. https://www.westleyrichards.com/usedguns/view/rifles/1520715982-marcel-thys/ Found only this one...

Preparing to order or buy a Double Rifle: help me choose the caliber

I chose 450/400. Plenty enough as a visiting hunter. Regarding the question about which stores in london: https://www.africahunting.com/threads/questions-on-london-gun-shops.76437/ Should I be in the market for something between the shikari and heym price, I would stop in birmingham...

What's up with todays' gun shops?

In Flanders-Belgium, there are certainly some tac stores, but in my experience also several where walnut still prevails. They are mainly stores that focus on hunting weapons. Frankly, a large portion of them are the R8. But also sauer, sako, browning.... Also a fair amount of "classics" on the...

Third Bite/Greener Crossbolt On Double Rifles. (Or Lack Thereof)

A third grip is also my preference on DR due to the higher pressures. Purdey, H&H have the hidden grip (mainly prevents the rotary opening motion). Rigby, WR and Heym an extension of the rib (also reinforcement in the longitudinal direction, not going off-face. But at the same time some...

    20,000 Elephants To Germany!

The story also appeared in our state broadcasters site (belgium). Curious to see how it will be picked up. For now, it is neutrally worded. As a politician it is easier to create and solve fake problems. Anyway, make enough storytelling around it so that the masses believe it.
