the intelligence level between the average plains game vs ele is different, though I understand your point.
regardless not really a hunt I'm interested in but I understand they should be managed
seems like a relatively simple job, should turn out alright.
if your question is "can it be saved?" definitely. Id definitely save it despite it possibly being cheaper to buy one already sorted
My Wife said it best when we watched an Elephant hunt video on youtube.
"they drove around until they found one, walked up to it, it looked at them & decided to let them be. 10 seconds later that guy shot it point blank in the face. some hunt. "
Moose arent as tough as deer once theyre hit. My sister shot a cow this year at 75 yards in Alberta with a youth model 30-30. Dropped on the spot and one more shot to finish her off up close.
just grab your 06 & be happy with it.
my dad has a "kettner" brand single trigger over under in 9.3x74R that he shot out to 220 yards. it shot around 3.5 inches i believe.
he has no interest in forums like this and as a result never bothered to ponder the notion of whether or not it is necessary or possible. I just popped over one...
Nice reply, thanks!
I reregulated my sxs double in an afternoon. I mightve gotten lucky but it wasnt too difficult. I love the idea of an O/U rifle for deer here in Canada, but I already have the "perfect" deer gun, so I'm not sure what I'm really hoping to accomplish. Variety is the spice of...
Ive been looking at the Italian Made O/U's in rifle cals. theres one local to me that buddy has videos of shooting an Inch at 100 yards. how does yours fair? I shot this years buck at 80 yards but generally I'm usually pulling the trigger around 200-250 yards. would yours confidently take a buck...
I do indeed have my absolutely perfect plains game/deer & moose rifle. Its a Lefty Heym SR20N in 300 Win Mag. As a lefty its nice having a left handed rifle & its absolutely beautiful. I can confidently say ill have it until I die. the SR20 (Havent tried the SR21) is a very smooth rifle and mine...
I'm much younger than the average fella on here (25)
I also unfortunately work quite a bit as the cost of living in Canada has consistently & rapidly gotten steeper. I generally work around 3000-3100 hours a year on the road. After work I usually hit the gym and go to bed. On my days off I...
i went to find the link for that Sako and in a moment of weakness ended up purchasing it myself. My apologies for that, its a very nice gun.
Regardless, Im constantly looking within Canada for big bore guns for sale. If you shoot me a DM I can provide you with several links to other rifles...
im in Alberta, Just finishing up a pre 64 model 70 in 375 H&H that should be basically perfect and dealt with (possibly for sale as I have other projects.) Also if you dm me I can send you some links to Sako 375's that are under 1500 CAD & within Canada. All the Sakos are push feed, but...
