I'm probably gonna get flak over this but on pigs my two favorite bullets are core lockts and partitions , I absolutely love rems core lockts in 35 remmys and most things 30cal , then nosler partitions for everything else but In my neck of the woods that's all It takes
I think I found my problem , the barrel just being pinned... with force applied can rotate ever so slightly around the barrels axis so I believe that to be what was causing my right barrel to drop out but it's still theory for but if anyone has regulated their own let me know if my thinking is...
The settling aspect raises this question then .. the left barrel is not soldered in its pinned with two drift pins im now wondering if rotation around that barrel could effect it and if so I'm not a stranger to soldering sights ect on barrels I may see if that's a culprit and could solder that...
It's the 45-70 version and I had it printing bullets almost touching at 45yrds now it's easy regulated left to right to make them print consistently but what I can't explain is why the barrel started dropping and it's accurate left and right hasn't moved just vertical and I took a feeler gauge...

Probably whatever one can get , but when I tried to get a scope repaired or replaced a couple years ago from Nikon they kept my scope and said they're not fixing or even making scopes anymore so they sent me a voucher for binoculars etc... not sure if I'd throw 1200$ at a scope with no warranty...
Me and a buddy were talking rifles this afternoon as we shot our lever guns after boat shop work was done and had a chuckle at a guy was trying to sell us a new "never fired" marlin .... No box no paperwork 1976 model ,, we messed w him , I'd rather had proven rifle that's been to war than one...
Dang I must've been in a time warp
