416 Rigby all the way!

Hi 50lawman. My rifle is a CZ 550 Magnum De Lux 416 Rigby. I only stripped of the varnish from the stock and made it into an oil finish. The scope is a Zeiss Duralyte 1.2-5 x 36, quite good for up to 200 meters. It was a smallish Eland cow, slaughtered weight 180kgs

I would suggest that you leave the CZ as is and come and hunt in Namibia with the money saved. My 416 Rigby with a nice Biltong Eland cow shot on Tuesday…..

You can fly from OR Tambo Airport, Johannesburg (There airport you would arrive in SA) to Nelspruit (Kruger Mpumulanga Iinternational Airport +/- 20 minutes outside Nelspruit CBD )-+/-50 minute flight. SA Airlink etc has regular daily flights. Otherwise rent a car- nice and easy drive from OR Tambo.

Interesting suggestions from all, I think I have a fairly decent Springbok shooter in the '06. 125 Grain Ballistic Tips in front of 58 grain Somchem S355 gives me a decent and flattish shooting round at 3150+ f/s. Closer than 250 meters though, lost of damage. I am however thinking of something...

Both are South African produced monolithic bullets by Peregrine. On the left 300 grain Plains Game bullets and on the right their Bushmaster bullets in 340 grain

Because a Rigby shoot these... ;)
