One of my best mates, Phil Smart, has written a historical novel around the rise of the Zulu nation titled "The Napolean of Africa". It's his first novel and, in my opinion, a cracking good read. I thought some on here may be interested. Available on Amazon.
In Africa I carry minimum 30-06 and have taken 2 big Kudu bulls with 338WM - one with a 225gr Nosler Accubond and one with a 225gr Woodleigh PPSN. Both emphatic kills - but never underestimate how tough African critters are.
Well we completed the slam with an old man Bushbuck. Two weeks away from work meant that I returned to a nightmare. I'll eventually get a hunt report together.
We're planning to take lots of photos but we're not bringing trophies back, unless we get something spectacular. I'd rather spend the money on another hunt.
We have trips booked 2 years in advance. We're hunting wild bulls and boars in Cape York in October, Sika and Tahr in New Zealand in April...
