    2003 is a long time ago, and to avoid writing anything incorrect, I just checked a German Forum where I made a post about this shot 15 years ago. The bullet was the 180gr Scirocco from Swift, factory load from Remington, and the shooting distance was 372m.

    My GOD that's a BIG lion. Judging from the photo it appears to be taken well before the advent of camera-phones with fish-eye lenses, so no optical distortion here! It would be very interesting to know who the hunter was, and where it was taken.
