this is the German author Hans Otto Meissner.Tiger hunting in Indonesia in the 50ies.
He shot his PG and DG mostly with a Mauser in 9,3x62.
For his elephants in Ubangi Chari,he used his double in .577 NE
In my youth,his wonderful books was a reason to become a hunter.
