New Zealand Safaris has exclusive hunting right to 3 extensive mountain properties privately owned. Giving game animals an high economic value to land owners means not only are they now an important part of the farming operation, they are getting value from game animals that are eating grasses that their sheep and cattle are eating. This becomes part of a management system where we numbers are monitored, only mature animals are hunted, areas are left for them to be able to get the grass they need at the time they need it. The Bull Tahr are able to reach a mature age and breed without constant hunting pressure, and hunters get the opportunity to be able to get within distance without having to compete with other hunters and having to be a mountain goat themselves.
