The quality of Elk with New Zealand Safaris has second to none. As many hunters now know most of the Elk in New Zealand are hybrids, which means crossed with Red deer especially those coming from the Queenstown/ Ranfurly area. New Zealand Safaris still manages the Elk to keep them pure, any hybrid looking Elk are culled out early for meat.
