The 6.5x57 is an excellent medium game cartridge and one I have as my own deer riflle. A 139gn bulet at 2800fps is a great killer on these sized animals.

Its a great old round. I recently acquired a German Frankonia rifle in this caliber built on a 98 Mauser action, good shooter.
