We had been sitting in the blind all day waiting for one specific Kudu. We saw all kinds of animals but held tight for that one animal. Well he never showed up, then just as we were packing up just before dark, a group of Black wildebeest came in so we took the gift. This was my second black and both were taken right at last light.

That’s awesome!
Definitely a gift!
I am hearing that they are difficult to get. I’m hoping that if I make it my priority animal they can make it happen!
Congratulations on your successful trip!

You certainly do not see them as much as other animals, but if you are going with Dries, they have quite a few there. You can see them out in the open plains which is where they love to hang out, but I'm sure they can get you on them.

Thanks!
If you have time could you let me know about the accommodations?
My wife is coming as an observer and is curious about the amenities. Myself I’m good with a tent camp! lol
Also how many hunters were in camp ?

The accommodations were clean and very comfortable. Private bathrooms and nice hot showers. The lodge was great but we really only used that for breakfast. Every evening when we returned we all had snacks and cocktails by the fire and fresh cooked meals were outside nearby.
Yea your wife will be happy. My wife came as an observer to. Other women in camp did day trips to the spa, visit the lions and elephants etc. Originally my wife was thinking she would like to do that also, and spend time by the pool reading a book. Well she came out hunting with us the first day. That evening I asked her if she wanted to go to the spa or something the next day, she quickly looked at me and said "no way I'm coming with you guys that was incredible". By the third day she wanted to hunt herself. They spent time with her at the archery range, taught her to shoot a crossbow and she proceeded to take 3 animals that week. She had a ball. Now she had no intent on hunting, so don't be surprised if your Wife gets the itch!

We had maybe 5 hunters in Camp. I had a friend of mine there, there was another guy with his mom and his 2 children, and a couple other gun hunters also. Everyone went out to different properties or areas each day, so we never saw another hunter except for at night by the fire for stories. Everyone was great, I think the one guy that was there with his 2 children took over 40 animals between the three of them, and they were all amazing animals!

Wow
Sounds like a great place!
I went in 2010 with an outfitter that we met at a show in Toronto
He was a good talker nice guy and it was a great place but there was very limited amount of game on his farm
I was 4-5 days before releasing an arrow
On a 10 day trip
We did good but not what he had advertised
It’s nice to talk to someone who was just there and get the real deal!
Thanks so much

I agree, I think it is important if you are bowhunting to hunt with someone that has a property set up for bowhunting. We saw multiple species everyday, with respectable adult males. I have been to Africa many times, so we were looking for specific animals, and some were a particular one that we had game cam pictures of that we held out for. It didn't work out on all of them and we took advantage of other opportunities that also came up.
I think if you tell them what is priority on your list, they will work to get you those specific animals. The tough thing for me is not shooting other animals that I see while waiting, and with them you will see plenty and have many many opportunities.
