The first was a 325gr aframe at about 1560’s outta that 6” 454. The second was a factory 300gr aframe load from swift at about 1980avg from the bfr 460.
Awesome buff...............congrats. A lotta power in that wheel gun. That's about what I get out of my Ruger No. 1 rifle in 45-70........again, love the shape of that buff.............FWB
Where was the Buffalo taken? Also how many shots, range and shot placement? I have the same gun except 7 1/2” barrel and want to use it or a .500 Linebaugh on a buff
454 buff was just outside of kruger national park and it took one thru the shoulder. Ph hit it quartering away with a 458 lott whose bullet broke apart and barely penetrated a foot into the gut. One up the brisket when it was down and out and not quite done breathing. The 460 buff was in limpopo province. Shot it off a goat trail off a huge mesa/mountain. Ph wanted me to let it get off the goat path and onto a flat for retrievals sake. Hit once at 150 on the run thru the shoulders and then a finisher at point blank
