6.5x47 Lapua Range Shots

The 6.5x47 Lapua is the most accurate rifle I have owned. It just seems so easy to find an accurate load. It routinely shoots 1/2 moa or better. I realize it may be a fluke, but I shot a 300 yard 3-shot group of .3xx inches, covered it with a dime. Even old, blind squirrels get an acorn sometimes!
I have really enjoyed my 6.5x47 Rifles. I got my first (Rem 700, Bartlein) in 2009 and ran that as a competition/ occasional hunting rifle until this last few months when it’s successor arrived about one month ago (Borden Alpine, GB barrels). It has been for me the most consistently accurate cartridge too. My go to accuracy loads have been using the 123g Scenar, Varget or N140 and CCI 450 primers and these would regularly give me 0.25 MOA groups off a Harris bipod and have proved accurate out to 1000 yards and a bit beyond. Case life for me has been excellent with some cases having over 20 reloads and still going strong. It really is an excellent little cartridge
