I'm no expert but the brain shot marker here looks a bit off. I've never brain shot a bear but their skulls are pretty sloping. This might be too high. Honestly after looking at a few bear skulls I would not attempt a brain shot unless I was really desperate. It's a pretty small target and running bears seem to have a pretty jumpy gate.

Have to agree with @Alaska Luke I don't think I'd ever try and take a frontal brain shot unless the bear was under me. And if one is coming at you to do you harm it's most likely very low to the ground and coming really fast.
