when I had sized gas checked and lubed the bullet I would load it and then dip the bullet into thinned mule snot (LLA) and hang the cartridge till this dried/set and wipe the drip off the nose. This would give the bore riding soft nose protection for the HV run down the barrel. You can see the slight yellow colour of the mule snot in this pic
