AH Houston Texas Area

Wait until you see the gun vault! I could live in it and die happy

This all sounds very interesting!

Is there a firm date yet?

Re: Gordy's....no way they'd let a ragamuffin like me in a place like that!

@tarbe, - @Buff-Buster is headed out to SA on 7 June, so I figured 3 June would probably line up the best to give him a good send-off.

I'm putting June 3rd on my calendar. Want me to send you a meeting notice Tim? Lol we will drag you kicking and screaming need be. If SierraOne and bullthrower338 can get in there, anyone can. The GM is just like us, cool as ice!

Consensus is 3 June 17 at The Richmond Arms in Houston, on Richmond Ave not too far east of Collector's Firearms.

Come help us send off @Buff-Buster to RSA for a glorious hunt!

On my calendar for sure.

Any ladies coming along?

No problem, just learn to speak their language, (if you don't already). As of the time I was there with Bullthrower, anyone can enter without an appointment. If you want to enter the vault, you have to have an appointment, because only a couple of the employees have access and one of them has to be there to accompany you inside.

Better be English, or I'm in big trouble! :)
Hey Tim, English is the language, just learn a bit about the hi end European and custom American guns and rifles if you don't already know. Now the $1000 and up fly rods, I know nothing about, so I just stick with the guns!!! Even though they originally were not going to deal with handguns, they were debating on the handling of custom 1911s. Again I primarily know Colt and Kimber 1911s, so don't know much about $3-5000 1911s. No black guns! It is so much fun to look at things you can't have!!! There is no doubt that you, I, we or others will have a good time!

I am wanting to be there also. Will have to wait until time is closer due to my leaving 27 days later for S.A. Will have to see what my checkbook says!!!

Did yall say Beer? I am always in, booked up thru May though

Welcome Dutchman!

Houston here also, would like to pick some of you seasoned guys brains. Struggling to make a decision on first go at Africa.

Welcome to AH JP, looking forward to meeting you. What part of Houston are you in?
Cheers,
Cody

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

Hello - I was looking at your post from several years ago regarding the Winchester 300 H&H. Any chance you still have the lefty M70 300 H&H for sale?
Thank you, Mike

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
