Custom Boots

Does anyone know what plains game has a hide thick or stiff enough to have them made into a pair of custom boots? Also thinking I might save some hides for a leather jacket if anybody has done that as well.

Ostrich. You see them in boots all the time. I actually have an ostrich hide right. And need to find a custom boot maker to make me some boots

I have some kudo hide boots & shoes , buffalo hide boots also
I bet lots of PG could be made into jackets, purse, wallets , belts ?
I get solicited by two leather shops in Namibia a lot here is their kudu jacket

If your hide is thin, your boot maker will likely back it with pig skin or some other durable, pliable leather…

Al at James Leddy boots will pretty much work with any PG hide you have.. he’s not picky.. but he has told me he really loves working with kudu..
