A mystery pre-war 30-06 JP Sauer came home today

There is a company over in the US that repair old scopes, can’t remember the name of them, I recall reading about them on the ASSRA forum, father and daughter or something like that.
gumpy

Well, I installed an Jack 2.5x52, Berlin so.33 WWI Sniper scope. Although very old, this has optics that are clear enough for shooting.

Next stop will be the range to test it out.

I believe that first rifle was NOT re blued. It has the same finish as several of other early Mauser Sporters. Regardless, macht nichts, to me.

not to repeat myself ......... "macht nichts"

Do you still have this rifle? I'm in the KC area on business and I'm very interested.

Thanks again for your support on the Rhodesian Shotgun thread. From the amount of "LIKES" it received, it appears there was only ONE person who objected. Hes also the same one who continually insisted on interjecting his posts that werent relevant to the thread.
