I'm looking at picking up a Leica Rangemaster 2000, used locally. Gentleman selling it can't remember if it was purchased before their new warranty went into effect 1 January 2021. Is there any way I can look up if this item is covered by the warranty? I have the serial number on it.

Thanks for all of the good information. I'll have to look at Vortex's offerings. I've had a sig in the past, the kilo 1250, and in spite of sig replacing it multiple times I could never get a reading past 450 yards with it on any surface so I've ruled them out.
