Sounds like you could always be petty and report a straw purchase being that the admitted to immediately reselling it. Don't think it'd help the situation at all, but it's really weird that someone would admit that.

I don't own a 700NE, but in my experience, nothing I've ever loaded can be described as "maraca-like" unless I have really messed up.

I think when I did the math once, a kind of mid range setup could be had for about $800. I compared that to my cost of making 375H&H --- at the time, I think most rounds were $8/ea compared to component cost making it $1.50/ea for a cost savings of 6.50. Truth be told till your comment I kind of forgot that my 1917's qualified here. They've all been reworked over the years. This one was a Winchester pedigree IIRC. It was redone to 375 H&H and was the first safari-class rifle I owned. And the first thing that drove me into reloading incidentally.

No one has posted a trapdoor yet?? How about this 1884 Trapdoor Carbine. Best I can tell it was manufactured in 1889. All original except it got a recoil pad at some point, and the bar/ring on the opposite side have gone missing.

I wish I could answer more questions, but I confess.... it's not really mine. But that's probably good news for a lot of people because I'd eat that entire 4000 pounds myself. I love cheese.
