I used 250 grain iron wills and a 700 gr grizzly stick. Shooting a 80lb Hoyt. The Buff went about 60 yards with a double lung shot. The only issue I had with the grizzly sticks was some of the weighted inserts coming lose. A little loc-tite fixed the issue.

Congrats on getting your first safari booked. I went for the first time in 2019 at the age of 44 and the second time in 2023. All animals taken with a bow. There is nothing like it but I will warn you it is addictive.

From 2023 South Africa hunt. I had 2 crates. One had a cape buff horns and cape. It also had sable horns and cape. The other crate had 3 pig skulls and one bush pig cape. Dip and pack was 400. Shipping was 2200 and brokage fee was 400.

It sticks out 40 inches and I have it in my office which isn't a huge room to begin with.

Well written post that pretty much sums up my whitetail hunting life. My two biggest issues with modern whitetail hunting is the price of midwestern leases and the judgement of others in the whitetail hunting community. The leases have got to the place where I am not willing to pay it anymore...

As a 50 year old I am asking the same questions. I have dabbled in the crypto market but the bulk of my assets are invested in good ole US stocks. I guess if the USD fails then nothing else is really going to matter.

My July experience with them was not good. They canceled my flight from Pittsburgh to Newark which caused me to miss my flight to Joburg. This cost me a day of hunting. On the way back, I made it home on Sunday and my bows did not make it until Friday.
