I have been told it can be, but I am not a gunsmith or gunmaker. This action and the one for the .300 RUM on the Model 70 have been used for a .404 Jeff build in the past from I have heard. But, please check with a reputable gun maker.

Unfortunately, this brass and caliber is not an easy one. However, the shooting of this cartridge and the feeding in your Mauser or Model 70 is seriously slick and easy. A little less bulky than the .416 Rem or Rigby.....
