Excellent workmanship and artistic presentation. Great service, price and communication. I have tried several others, non of which compared whith Bullseye.
Craig is working on a group of our mounts now. Brian Gallup. BC, Canada.
We have used Bullseye for about 15 mounts. They do excellent work and have excellent service. They also did an excellent job with the shipping. We went to Bullseye after a very bad experience with Trophex. (Heads-up) I Don't think that it gets any getter than Bullseye. Brian
Hello Derian,
Welcome to AH and thanks for posting your excellent website and photos. ( Your downloads work fine. The viewer just has to scroll down a bit to see them.)
I love the Lowveld and have hunted 7 buffalo there. I will send you a private message.
Best regards,
Brian Gallup
Fugazi, That 416 Rigby sure works on buffalo. On my buffalo hunt this year the PH stopped a full on charge at 10 yds with a 416 Rigby. ( I messed it up with a borrowed .375HH, with a one lung shot. Long story, I don't wanna to talk about it. chuckle.)
I have always yearned for a double rifle...
Thanks, Excellent bullet! Perfect performance. I use it in my 577 NE and Cutting Edge Bullets ( Raptor ) in my 50-110 Win.
It is really "buffalo hunting" when you get close like that. Well Done!
PS. I love shooting the .375HH but I don't use it any more for buffalo. ( I have killed 6 buffalo...
Fugazi, Those are wonderful old dagga boys! Please tell me what cartridge/bullet you used and how close were you for your first shot. How many shots each?
Thanks, Brian
Fugazi, Thanks for the informative and enjoyable post. And very helpful to hear your positive report about Dieter and his way of doing things. I may go with him for buffalo in 2024 or 2025. Congrats on your great hunt. Brian
Here are some more of my personal opinions. I just add them as "grist for the mill".
The killing power of a bullet is greatly improve by recent improvements in bullet design/technology, obviously. I also believe that a bullet's terminal performance increases exponentially with bullet...
The 45-70 loaded hot and the 50-110 Win for cape buffalo. Use the best bullets. I use Cutting Edge Raptors and Solids. (There are other great bullets too.)
There is a lot of daylight between the "best" bullets and at the "average" bullets for cape buffalo in my opinion. In the last few years...
As far as I am concerned the .375 HH/Ruger is marginal for cape buffalo. They usually run at least 30yds. with a good hit. Sometimes a lot further. Is that what you want? Brian
I have done several stocks for H&R Handi rifles and it sure makes a nice rifle out of them. Yours is very nice, better than some of mine. I did one for my 577 NE stub barrel job. and taken it to Africa for buffalo. Thanks for posting the photos. brian Gallup
