Simon - nice photos, thanks for sharing! The Tahr is a beautiful trophy and what a spectactular New Zealand background!

Great pics, thanks for posting.

Looks like the Hooker/Murchison. Very nice.
East Coast is much more forgiving than the West.

Hope you guys can get back to work sooner rather than later.

Seeing that this thread never gained any traction 11 years ago but was revived earlier this morning, lets start by adding more pics!

I hunted New Zealand. It is a very nice country. One place in the world I would live if I was younger and they would let me stay.

One of my favorite places in the world. I’ll post some trophy photos.

How hard is it to bring trophy’s back for taxidermy?

Leaving NZ should not be a problem......its bring them into your home country that will be the issue plus airlines.......as you may well know a lot now wont do it.

NZ has strict Bio controls for entry of the country.

ie If your coming from Hunting in another country and have your tent, boots and clothes.

Then Id definitely recommend that all be washed before you travel.

To make a swiff exit..........lol faster exit of customs when arriving. Have all of this gear in a separate bag, or on the top so that its easy for the customs officer to inspect.

With your boots make sure that there free of mud. Tent make sure its dry. Clothes make sure there free of seeds and clean.

Oh dont leave Biltong and Jerky in your pockets the Becal's will have you for dinner!!:LOL:

Stewart island is a magical place. I’ve hunted that block too. Congratulations on a successful hunt

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
