Black versus blue wildebeest rug

Does a black wildebeest make a good rug like the blue wildebeest? It appears people generally prefer the blue as I can’t find pictures or info online about black rugs.

Any thoughts or opinions?

Also, besides zebra and blue wildebeest can people tell me what other plains game hides make good and decently durable rugs?
I actually have a blonde Wildebeestrug to go with my zebra rug

People often say the same and more regarding the taking of Zebra. Even some hunting friends said "You shot a Horse??" lol
I've had a couple of opportunities to take a zebra and have passed each time. I would get a lot of grief from family and friends if i did, and there is an "up close and personal" farm with several zebras on it and the neighbor's kids would think that's where I got the one on the wall. I'm getting older and no longer care what others think, so on my next trip to Africa, it's likely to be on my list.

there's one not too far from home as well, but i smile and stop to watch 'em when i have time. it just makes me miss and appreciate Africa more (like a hunter going to the zoo. I've gone to zoos to study game animal anatomy in the flesh! like Fred Bear et. al.) 'Just refrain from shooting the holy grail: the Fruit Stripe Gum Zebra! Disney would get upset.

fruit stripe gum lol I know Wrigley was big, but uncertain if worldwide?? He def funded the sugar estates!!!

I think Zebra are pretty common in Africa and they are amother game species that the industry hunt to make the world go round.

My regret is not buying a cheap Zebra skin at the airport to bring home.

surprisingly my wife asked me to shoot a Zebra for my last trip, she wanted a shoulder mount for the wall and the back skin for the couch

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area, I signed up to this forum just now because I wanted to be on the list to purchase a copy of your autobiography. Please feel free to pass my information along to whomever is selling. Thank you so much. I look forward to it!
I like the Tillie in my picture. They are supposed to fit loose (2 fingers inside hat band), have mesh for cooling, and hold their shape after washing.
