Let me know what you find, I would like one in 30-06 with the 24" barrel in the African model. I do not think Ruger has ever made the 77 style in 30-06 with a 24" barrel?
That is the response I usually receive from the Cabelas’ Gun Library when I call about a gun. The other common response is that gun is sold or the person that deals with the online sales is on vacation.
With sights like the previous model? I was able to find one of these last year on GB, it was listed with the lever rifles.
Have you seen any other No. 1's yet? I heard Lee Newton designed one in 280 AI, stainless with high grade walnut. Are any International models planned?

I would like to find one too. I just checked with Winchester Customer Service, the response was the next shipment of Safaris in 375 H&H will be shipped to distributors in May.
