I used a .308 suppressed on all my Plains Game hunts. I like the suppressor as it really allows me to hear the thud of the shot hit so I have confirmation that the animal was hit.

He still has more options than if he was this dis-satisfied with an African taxidermist. And as far as moldy hides - how do we know that's not on Africa - they obviously did the dip and pack. I think Africa sent the wrong horns to his taxidermist.

I was in South Africa in June as well. Bulls eye did my dip and pack. I won't have my trophies back for another year - but I am glad I am having them done stateside.

I shot a female zebra on my safari last June. It had a beautiful coat and I wanted a rug. I also Gemsbuck on my list and would have gladly taken a female as their horns tend to be longer than the males, but saw no gemsbuck during my safari.

This one is not mine. This is one that my taxidermist (Reflections of the Wild) showed me that they can have done. Mine will be done with backskins from 7 different animals.

Left Limpopo in June of 2024. Had 2 Warthogs and a Bush Pig. Trophies arrived in the USA in October of 2024. Cleared by customs in November of 2024. Arrival at tannery and taxidermist December of 2024.

Yet another reason to rent a rifle from your PH and not travel with a firearm.

So its a year later and your capes have not even left yet. See, that worries me. I left Africa in June and my capes left in October. I'm not worried about what they have to go through here (I totally get and understand the USDA thing)- I'm worried about them actually leaving Argentina.

Sir- Side question for you. I am going to Argentina next March for a Red Stag/Black Buck hunt. Due to some "law enforcement activity" last year I have been told getting trophies back from Argentina was next to impossible. When are these trophies from and has it been an arduous process?

Yes. I had the backskin from kudu and my golden wildebeest made into a gun bag, The others will make one of these rugs. If you're getting your capes back, it's a no brainer to have the backskins thrown is as well.
