1 MOA accuracy less common than you think ?

Totally aeree, 1 moa it's not so common, not all day nor any given time. Our rifles are mainly hunting stick, light and chambered in hunting calibers with hunting bullets. My rifles shot straight, but one likes cold weather, the other some fouling, another one a given bullet above all the...

    Wanted Double Rifle

As I'm going to buy a BBF 95 from a friend of mine, let me ask you : I guess, when you clean the rifle barrel, you just have to remove the scope. Any given time. Do the point of impact / settings changes, even a little bit? Or the scope remains totally sighted in? Just curious about your...

    More thoughts on 9.3x64

My advice, if you're interested in this great round, is to buy dies and shell holders in advance, even if you not yet reload it. This stuff in our '64 is pretty rare, especially the shell holder that is not in common with other cartridges (as far as I know). Also, a good set of ready-to-load...

As a commercial cartridge, I use the very classic RWS Tug / Uni 293gr, a great cartridge indeed, an iconic, accurate and effective bullet

Another good one for our beloved 9,3x64 should be this heavyweight - my reloading project for the next autumn, probably with RS powders, too.

One rifle for North American big game?

This is true, I agree Some few rounds are a pass-par-tout, and for sure 8x68 is not - as many good cartridges around

One rifle for North American big game?

...or you can reload, just as many of us do RWS and Norma (now Beretta), Brenneke, and few others make rounds in 8x68S I guess, that little store in Utah or Georgia, maybe will not have many cartridges we commonly use as well...

One rifle for North American big game?

Late in this party, but I put my bet on 8x68S, my favourite caliber by far - mild recoil, flat enough, powerful enough, you can load it from 180 to 250 grs, still doable in a light rifle with a compact scope ... just like my Sauer 90

    No. 1 Rebirth by R J Renner

Epic rifle, absolutely beautyful I may add that in a so classy rifle, I'd like to put a vintage (not too old, just from the '90s) european glass, like a good old Zeiss or Swar, or S&B. Anyway it's a gorgeous n.1, congrats!

    New Weatherby Rifle

Absolutely agree, just I also love the ones made by Sauer, too Anyway the old Wbys were masterpieces, truly outstanding. I have a very accurate rifle in 300 Wby, but it's not a Weatherby, so it's "one day" wish, when I'll find a very nice one.

    New Weatherby Rifle

I like the rifles more than the calibers in the Wby family... to me the MK V is still one of the most iconic and beautyful ever made, really symbol of an era

New and pristine or used with patina?

A very good point and one of the best threads title ever, to me. Well, as in people, I prefer rifles with a story. Dents and scratches, well, can be very fashinating. As the actress Anna Magnani once said "I love all my wrincles : it took me a lifetime to make them" Cant agree more

Does the perfect fixed blade for Africa exist? Whether it does or not, what should it look like?

    Colorado Lion hunting ballot initiative

To me, this is just a pebble in a landslide. Hopingly not, but the trend of our future is living in a World where everything that is good, right and natural will be banned, and everything is against nature and common sense will be referred to as the model. It's already this way. This is the...

    Elk at 688 yards with a 243

To me, who close the distance will always be a better hunter than the one who shots from far away. I'm much more impressed by a shot from 50 yrds than 500. Less distance = more fun, more ethics, more respect of the animal. AND more skills. In my opinion.
