    Free Range Namibia?

I don't have the experience like many on this site do but I have hunted in Namibia twice and SA once and worked in some other African countries a few times. I really like Namibia a lot. It's safe, clean and not crowded with people. The game is just now recovering from a severe drought and the...

I'll look into some of those other bullets and maybe pick up a few if I can find any, but I've had really good luck with the Noslers. I usually shoot 210g partitions for most everything but have used the 250's a few times. My wife shot a 1600 lb B&C WY buffalo in '99 that died quickly with one...

Hey Bruce When I was a kid (1970's) and into my twenties my dad would take us hunting just north of Gillette on the Daly ranch. He'd been hunting there since the 1950's. It was my favorite place on earth to hunt back then.

Thanks for all the feedback you guys are getting me more excited about hunting eland. Up til now my favorite plains game animal is the kudu but that may change after this trip. The farm we're hunting on is just over 100,000 acres and not high fenced so it should provide for a good tracking hunt...

So, I'm thinking about hunting for an eland when I go to Namibia this spring and would like some advice on what I should look for/hold out for. I've never hunted them before, so I have no experience whatsoever. That being said I tend to be very picky and burn a lot of tags here at home when I...

I'll for sure be looking for a kudu, probably an eland and also a gemsbok as well. My girls each want to shoot a gemsbok. As for African animals, I've shot a gemsbok, steenbok, duiker, red hartebeest, blesbok, warthog and my favorite...a 58" free range kudu. The kudu is one of my favorite wall...

Yello As my daughter would say I've been "creeping" in on your posts here for a bit but finally decided to join the conversation. I'll be going back to Namibia this spring for some plains game fun with my girls... including my 83 year young mother, as well as my brother and his kids. It'll be my...

    Finding Wild Africa

Bearbait To maybe somewhat answer your earlier post about the drought, here's what I've been told. I'm going back to Namibia this spring after an 8 year hiatus and have the same concerns about the impacts of the 2019 drought. My PH (owner of a large, unfenced ranch) who has always been upfront...
