So a 300gr Norma oryx is to weak for buff???? I give up lol. Ya, you would be fine and the buffalo would be dead. Good bullet. Does it mushroom more than a swift a frame? You bet! I’m sure you would find it on off side skin just like anything else… Best

Is the 7mm prc suitable for plains game?

that is a blanket statement! The hornady CX (formerly gmx) is a mono metal design and is perfect for Africa. I have found them to perform exactly like Barnes. Would be a good choice in the slim pickings offered in 7mm prc factory loads.

SOUTH AFRICA: Has Anyone Hunted With Boss Safaris?

I see the point in asking around and especially asking here if someone has hunted or at least heard of. But say Boss safaris does get back to him- and say “ya, give this guy a call” and slides op a number to ring Useless in my opinion. Lots of confirmation bias in the safari world.

Help me decide: which Plains Game Bullet for my 7mm-08?

A 140 grain Barnes will brake both shoulders of a kudu and exit inside the off side when within 150 yards. Maybe you are not familiar with Barnes or monolithic bullet construction. That 180gr PMP will end up weighing 140 grains anyways.

Help me decide: which Plains Game Bullet for my 7mm-08?

With eland and water buck on the menu I would 100% take the Barnes with confidence. 140 accubond on water buck and eland just doesn’t sound like enough. Barnes will kill the small stuff dead just fine too.

    Giraffe question from newbie

I guess all the marketing Q, KB, Field Ethos does is working... Glad they are getting people interested in Africa. But the 8.6blk is not revolutionary for hunting by any means at all. I don’t see how it’s filling any needs. Just know that and look at the truths and not Instagram as much. I...
