I've a .585 Hubel Express on a Montana PH, the round looks like a .458 lott on steroids.

For my trip next year I picked up a pair of Hanwag Yukons....no gortex lining, not as high as my Lowa Tibets.

Of those two the Z8 for sure I am in exactly the same situation, looking for a scope for my Cz .416 prior to my hunt next year. I’m wondering if the z8 1.7-13x42 would fit on a Cz safari magnum with Warne qd’s. My 3 choices at this stage are Z8 1-8 Z8 1.7-13 SB exos 1-8

Thankyou...I had read that but I'm interested in if the scope would actually "fit" on the large cz550 safari magnum...e.g is the tube long enough before the objective bell. The Z8 1-8 and exos 1-8 will be fine with the straight tube.

Thanks Matt, Bruce Bertram is only a couple hours drive from me so I should be able to grab either of him….leaning towards the .500 on the gross box frame which will put the rifle weight at 11.8 pounds think….maybe .8 pounds heavier than I’d like but the gross box will make for a sturdy rifle...

Thanks Matt. Given its going to be either of those two calibers, I think I agree, scope will never be needed on a .500 etc. therefore not worth spending the $2800 AUD on that upgrade cheers

Im really ineterested in real world comparisons between the Swaro Z8 1-8 and SB's 1-8 Exos. I would like to put either of these on my .416 Rigby, with the smokey being the Swaro Z8 1.7-13 for the .416. This scope sounds like a do it all, but maybe more suited to a .375
