Exactly, I believe the ‘75 never actually made it to production, if it did it was a very short lived one as there are not many originals accounted for from what I have read. I do love the clean lines of them though.
My oldest son’s first elk at 10 years old taken with a 243 Model 7 Remington. Don’t remember what bullet was used, either a partition or an interlock Hornady. She only went a short distance. Less gun than I prefer for shooting elk but it did the job perfectly with a pass through.
Very nice...
C. sharps 1875 action, Axtell sights, Badger Barrel. Work done by John King up here in Montana. Chambered in 40-65 Winchester. I didn’t have this rifle built but I fell in lust with it and bought it from a fine gentleman in Wyoming a few months ago. I also have a C. Sharps built 45/70 1874...
I’ve found a lot of information about the model, what I’d love to know is the story the gun could tell. It is a neat little gun but not in any shape to be any interest to anyone besides as a curio
Sorry for the bad picture but it is what I had on my phone. This is Clark Custom 6” Long slide built by Jim Clark Sr. Very accurate 1911. This was built back I believe in the 60’s when Jim welded the slides together. It is the only one I have personally seen. Came with a set of wooden...
Bought this at an auction, primarily because it would look cool amongst all the gun paraphernalia in a curio cabinet and partly because it was a pistol that a friends great grandfather had given him as a gift when he was a young boy. He had no attachment to it but I wanted to be able to pass it...
Ruger Hawkeye Single Shot, 256 Win Mag only made 1963-64. Around 3075 or so produced, many got molested when the owners changed to a different cartridge.
I used to get mine from Huntington but that shipped has sailed. Get up with @Glenn Slaven and see if he can persuade Quality cartridge to run a batch, I’d be a buyer of 500 or so to make up a run
I just really want to know how Toby keeps his counters so clean and ammo/reloading component free? Mine always had a couple cookie pans full of brass and random gun stuff everywhere, well ever since I have been single again anyway!
Sorry Toby, he lives on through you my friend. Just thankful you had him as long as you did. His pain is over now. If there is anything I can do, please do not hesitate to call.
A rare picture of Pimpin James!
Awesome BHP! Those other two, not so much! But who hasn’t made bad decisions while drinking, my life smells like bad decisions and Hoppes no 9
The 41 is my favorite cartridge in a centerfire revolver. The 57/657 are my favorite DA, you got a beauty. Have fun, the cartridge has a lot of potential, great handgun hunting cartridge.
I had a R93 and got rid of it for the same reasons! The Walker trigger is not unsafe and I along with many people that are experts on that trigger will also back up,
I bought an R8 just to see if they live up to the hype, great shooting rifle, mine failed to feed the second round when three...
The 378 wby is the most brutal of anything I have ever pulled the trigger on! Shot a deer in the head once with my buddy’s 378, it was extremely mind blowing!
Every few years I get an itch to buy a bike, I talk myself out of it everytime. Been really thinking about a Indian Chief Darkhorse just to run around on the weekends. I think it would be fun. Anybody know much about them?
Go buy a M1 garand and shoot the MilSup ammo, it will be much cheaper in the long run than doing shit like replacing bullets with an unknown charge and unknown powder. Plus you will have a new gun to enjoy
Beautiful watch Toby, I fortunately got out of the buying wives high end gifts, houses and 401k’s. Worst investment ever, some guys are just lucky bastards or know how to keep their mouth shut better than me. Watch is priced very fairly!
Welcome aboard, I am in the Billings area (Laurel) and feel free to let me know if I can help. Most of my advice is bad but I drink beer pretty good!
Cheers,
Cody
Spent a large portion of my adult life in w. Texas, loved it there and never ran out of tanks to build there. Enjoy you hunt and planning. Save a few extra bucks because there will be something else one of you wants to take!
I have only used them in 300 H&H and found them to be an amazing bullet. Absolutely pile drove a Roan and sable with them. Shot all the way down to Steenbok and was super impressed
