Finally made it back to the Eastern Cape - 14 days hunting with LJ Safaris - this will be my third hunt with them - We are covering the Eastern Cape - at three locations !
Hi Guys have a few of these and a few in 375 HH - for sale - I will be listing them on SimpsonLtd as I live in Iceland
what are they fetching in the real world these days - see if it is worth the paperwork !
Stephen
I have a Beretta Silver Sable for sale as culling the herd - only have the 470NE and the 318WR left in the doubles !
The gun is as new and inexcellent condition - Another one on GunBroker for $6750 which is too much
I am based in Iceland but the gun is in USA with a FFL ! I had it shipped...
Evening just packed it in the crate with the others - off to the airport tomorrow to move to Merica
What is a fair price ? as New with org case did you see the photos ?

I have 3 rifles -303 Brit 404 J and 505 Gibbs - hope to hunt Ellie next year -
Covers absolutely everything that walks this planet - I have little to no interest in hunting Buff - and Giraffe on the other hand 404J will be decisive !
Have a savage 30.06 new stainless pulled the barrel having a drop.in made ...heavy barrel.fluted with tactical.stock ........a
So a 21st Century 318wr tactical sniper
I know just a fun project as have a 1912 Wr and a Bsw Shul double
Have hunted with them on several Safaris they are the real deal booked for May 2024 to catch up and hunt some of the most amazing lodges on the Eastern Cape
I have racks of Parker Hale 243 270 7x57 6.5x55 that are as new my customers ask for 6.5 creedmoor
The large calibre has died in Europe and I am uncertain it will recover
As a dealer I have a perspective... and there is no recovery
Purchased the other day a decent 550 cz 9.3x62 virtually...
indeed regarding availability for 6.5x55 and 7x57
With regard to the calibres mentioned - nothing that has not been done before - 300 win mag 30 super or 300 HH 338 win mag use a 375hh - 7mm Rem mag is a fine round but many others will cover the same ground and certainly in Europe where ranges...
Being a dealer in Europe - have seen the 6.5 CM obsession - with the inevitable crash as ammo is expensive and hard to find - take a few calls a week regarding this - I only stock PPU so no CM
then the question can I rechamber to 6.5x55 nope - what can I do with my rifle - the marginal gains...
I have them - and thats how it started out a non shooting friend was shooting my 303 Brit and said is that how calibres work ? 303 404 505 - so 18 months later those are the rifles I own !
Small world - yes it is indeed sn 1200 - purchased it cheaply so no dramas on that - but will pass it to a gunsmith before it leaves England - big question does it shoot accurately
Just picked up a few guns at auction however this was the best...now paperwork to get it to Iceland ...Will be nice to compare it to the Parker Hale 404J
I write this from my study next room is my armoury where I have 100 plus fully auto weapons all for the price of a parts kit in the USA ...suppressors I can purchase otc like a pack of smokes or a case if beer ..... my Holiday home different country I can own post 1945 fully auto again 1200...
I am a dealer here in Iceland - I have never promoted or sold Creedmoor due to the ammo supply issue - so other dealers have sold lots of them and there is no ammo to be had - the primer shortage is also stirring the pot - the Creedmoor offers nothing the 6.5x55 does not - and have 5k rounds of...
Been down on maybe 10 trips to RSA I always check everything before the airport a few clients have got stopped but nothing compares to the drama of a client at Dallas flying back to Europe....Everything but the rubber gloves .......
Whale Finn and Minkie ..a couple of dolphin species ....Puffin ,most of the Icelandic seabirds ,Swan many years ago ...But Finn whale is my favourite.....love it
Off a dealer in the UK was doing a house clearance - was all sorts there - I have a ballistic test rig for remote firing - so it can hang for 24 hrs should it desire !
Have a CZ550 in 505 Gibbs - no drama on ammo I am the distributor for Iceland for Kynoch - so have a supply on hand of modern stuff just intelectual curiosity but have a ballistic remote firing setup so thank you for that - will use it rather than my shoulder
Someone over a drink or two said to me "Before the Great War - DG calibers were sorted, Before WW2 the plains game calibres were sorted "
I tend to agree - here in Europe shortages of primers and 6.5 Creedmoor ammo have left many struggling - I have a small gun store (hobby) and plenty of...
My thoughts has always been 2 rifles ..2 actions now in all my years of hunting I have never had a failure in the field. However have witnessed a few ....In other news $9000 would pay for a nice trip to Africa .....so i will stick with my Parker Hale ...Yes I am tighter that a ducks....
Only one person....a Gentleman who could suck the happiness out of you faster than a vampire that had not eaten in a month.....
I organise trips to Africa for friends and friends of friends .....He is was the only one
As a dealer in WW2 and before weapons as well as Safari rifles - I have had quite a lot of experience
Mossin Nagant snipers have had several sub MOA - the Swiss Sniper rifles that is a given cant remember the model but they are super accuracte - Enfields have had 2 Parker Hale "sporterised "...
What is the calibre - prefer where possible that my PH can retain hearing for the next season -why I dont permit Muzzle brakes or indeed unsuppressed plains game rifles -
I have avoided moderators on my DG rifles for one important reason - if I have to drop the scope - I have a problem - I do have one 375hh modded - as I use it for teaching and training - but as it will never see the "Green Hills of Africa" - it does not matter - maybe if I find the time will...
Finally had to say goodbye to old friends ...but gave three rifles to hunt the world
303 Enfield Parker Hale 1950s conversion to sporter
404j Parker Hale ...unfired believed to be from the 1960s
505 Gibbs CZ 550
Now to plan this year's hunts
And some quality range time...ammo Kynoch is...
There is little of value worth or need produced by the USA so no big one for me ....PPU or Knoch for ammo rifles well can't think of any American rifle I would desire to own ....Cars nothing much there either ....food .....yeah ...I really cannot think of anything I desire from the USA .......
I have culled the herd - hardest job yet - letting go of some beautiful old friends -
303 404 505 is all that remains
303 Parker Hale Deluxe - 404 J Parker Hale - Safari and CZ550 505 Gibbs -
