Catch and Release...I purchased this from user @stk at link: https://www.africahunting.com/threads/custom-416-rem-interarms-mauser.78743/#post-1150645

I've come to realize that I have too many rifles and would rather have the funds for hunting trips. Abbreviated text and copied pasted pictures below (his descriptions are as good as I can do). The rifle arrived as described and has just sat since I purchased.

Interarms Mark X in .416 Rem with a Douglas barrel. It’s a 26” 8 groove barrel with a quarter rib and folding leaf sights at 100, 200, and 300 yards and an under barrel sling swivel. It has a 14.5” length of pull with a substantial 1+” recoil pad. The finish is worn on the receiver where the previous owner used some compound to attach a scope mount. It’s covered up by any mounts that would be used for a scope, including the set on it.

Rifle weighs right at 10 lbs without scope or mount. The barrel tapers from about .950” just in front of the chamber to .750” at the muzzle. It balances well.

Included with the rifle are the mounts and Nikon 1.5-4.5x20 scope. Nikon is Japanese and I believe of the Monarch line. The eye relief is good for this rifle.
Price $2100 shipped L48. Please ensure your FFL accepts from individuals

Is that a Pachmayer trap gun recoil pad? The used stock I'm putting on my Brno 98 Mauser 404J came with an older crosshatch Pachmayer trap pad. I planned to change it but find the concave design shoulders nicely. No problem mounting. Doesn't look like it belongs on that rifle but it works for me.

Wish the LOP was shorter. Almost need that.
+1 would pair nicely with my 375H&H and 458WM. Unfortunately I still have hunts to pay for.

Not 100% sure but it does say Decelerator on it. It is a very comfy pad and the rifle shoulders nicely in spite of the long LOP

Decelerator is Pachmayer's top line recoil pad. They are the best in my opinion, especially for thumper DGR rifles. Limbsaver and Kickeeze are too soft.

I've had all three and disagree. I have a Kick-Ezz on my 450 Rigby Rimless and it's a better pad for reducing recoil, also haven't had the leaching of chemicals from them making them sticky over time like Limbsaver

Hi Joshlee0518 (please let me know if you are fine being addressed like that),

Thought I would drop you a PM. It is super exciting to plan a hunt and we are more than happy to assist you. Have you given any thought yet to which species you would like to take?

What do you hunt usually and which weapons/calibers are you using?

Look forward to swapping experiences and ideas.

Happy hunting - Daniel

Is this rifle sold? If not what is the weight of it and do you know if there is enough difference in diameter between the 35W and the 9.3 to allow for a rebore to a 9.3x62 which is what I am after?
Thanks,
Gary (Just down the road in Springfield)
