Somewhere along the line I struck up a conversation with Gavin aka @PANTHER TRACKERS. Gavin is a South African by birth but makes his home in Australia when not hunting. Many of you know he runs a hunting operation in Mozambique. His specialty is leopard and with hounds.

Well he contacted me about a month ago and let me know he would be in Phoenix in March. He arrived last Saturday. We met up for lunch on Sunday afterward went on to his client's home just a few minutes from where I live. He was to enjoy his client's mountain lion hunt that was in fact successful but a different story.

He was back in town last night when I drug him out to my favorite cigar bar. This gave us even more time to discuss all things hunting Africa but a chance for me to learn more about leopard hunting from an expert. Enjoyed meeting up Gavin and hope the rest of your tip goes well!

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

My wife (a biologist, like me) had to have a melanoma removed from her arm last fall.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?
