My dad owned a Sears catalog store in my little hometown as a kid. There was a streetlight on the loading dock & the crickets would congregate there by the 100s if not 1000s. For whatever reason, they would generally die on the loading dock & I would have to vacuum them up with a shop vac. That...
The wood itself isn't regulated by CBP. It just has to be fumigated to be sure there are no invasive pests piggy backing inside. That's how we got pine bark beetles, emerald ash borers, & a bunch of other non-native pests that have caused billions in damage.
I just finished a build for my son in 6.5 Grendel. Curious what ammo you like for pigs? Tough finding anything but Hornady near me but thinking of hand loads. Always good to hear others' experiences.
+1 on the Tikka. My T3X hunter in 30-06 weighs in around 7 lbs before scope. Slap a Meopta scope on it and you'll have a great rig for under $2k. I do recommend replacing the plastic trigger guard/bottom with the metal one from Mountain Tactical. The adjustable factory trigger is great out of...
Are these still available? My son just got a great deal on a 270, thinking these would be the right round for elk. His twist is 1:9.5 (I believe), would that be enough to stabilize these?
Would you take 20 gallons of gas & a brisket?? Seems like a fair trade in today's market! I'm in DFW so I can meet to make an even swap.
Kidding aside, dm sent
You might check with the folks at IRUNGUNS, if the Interarms markings are already on there and Interarms was the original licensed importer in the US, the engraving might not be required. Some of these import / export rules have gray areas.
I just put a Meopta on my Tikka 30-06. I love this scope so far, especially at the price point. Mine is a 2.5-15x44 with the 30mm tube. I got the dichro tech BDC reticle, which I really like so far. Not illuminated but it's a coating on the glass that will alternate between a red & pale blue...
I'm by no means an expert but I have been learning to shoot off sticks from @Royal27. One of the easiest things that demonstrated weight distribution for me was when he said, "Think of it like a 3 point football stance. You want your feet placed similarly shoulder width apart and think of the...
I bought my son an Axis in .243 on a $199 deal at Academy here in TX as his first rifle. This was prior to them coming out with accutrigger so the trigger was horrible. I replaced with the MCarbo spring as Graham Hunter mentioned. That was a world of difference for a sub $20 fix. Topped it with...
