Yeah, for me I’d have definitely been interested in a 243!!! Zero interest in a 270, but if it was a 280…. I already have a LH 338 Win. A 308 Win could be interesting!?!?
Left handed safari rifles are difficult to find. I suffer from the same affliction of being left handed. Also, rifles such as Winchester Model 70s can be got for a right handed shooter for usually well under $2500. A left handed rifle of the same make and model easily go for north of $2500.
I agree with you 100%!!! I look at several venues including auctions to find LH rifles. The last LH 375 H&H that I saw was a Winchester Model 70 Super Express for $4600 on GB. That rifle was priced about $2000 too high, or I’d have bought it!!!
As someone who is constantly looking for LH rifles on any format that I can find, I would respectfully disagree with you. Demand is high for LH rifles, and supply is pretty low. I look at this forum (of course), Cabela’s, GB, Guns.com, and Guns International multiple times a week. No joy...
I have only one camo waterfowl shotgun (Benelli M2). My other two are black SBE 3s (one 12ga and one 20ga). All left handed of course, as civilized hunters have!?!?
Seriously, no duck or goose will care what color your shotgun is!!! Unless it’s hot pink or something like that…
My favorite all around caliber is 7mm Rem Mag. It can do anything up to Eland (although it might be a little light for Eland). The recoil is definitely manageable. It shoots flat and the 7mm bullets are ballistically awesome!!!
