    Show your Sharps!

Original Model 1859 Sharps 52 caliber Infantry Rifle. Was typically issued to snipers, though toward the end of the war, the US Army was fielding veterans regiments which were to be armed with the Sharps rifle. Few were issued before the end of the war and only approx 11,000 total were produced.

    SPAIN: Return To Spain

I am scheduled for 2026 my friend, not 25. I'll send a reminder to Manuel. But really looking forward to it!

No Vasher, we were not talking about the Allied incursion in Russia at all. I was talking about the culture of a military that leaves its soldiers to rot on the battlefield, that has the medical support structure for its wounded more reminiscent of a 19th century army than a modern one, and a...

Another of these short clips that tells us quite a bit more. In this one a Russian soldier has published a video of an area around his fighting position. I have no idea, but he would be likely part of a new unit moving into the area. There are dozens of Russian dead left to rot on the...

w The point I am trying to make is that one employs them like any other area munition. The target area is restricted to one where there are no friendlies.

Proper Dangerous Game Rifle followup when the client can't followup?

I own .375, .404, 500/416, and a .470. I shoot them all very well. I prefer to use a scoped .375 for buffalo because it provides me, the client, with the highest likelihood of putting that critical first shot in exactly the right spot. It is absolutely effective in that role. Were I the PH...

Proper Dangerous Game Rifle followup when the client can't followup?

I have hunted three buffalo and a leopard outside the RSA and a single buffalo within the country. Outside the RSA, I have never had a second PH accompany the hunt. My son and I did hunt buffalo together in the Zambezi Delta, but his PH was accompanying him and I was with mine. A second PH...

Not that hard. The key is the search area. We, the Germans, and French have fielded weapons with the technology to find and kill a target like a tank, IFV, or SP artillery since the early nineties. Typical are artillery munitions that are fired into the area of a known armor concentration and...

Judging by the color scheme at the crash site, and the photo of the aircraft in the air, it looks like the presidential helicopter was a UH-1D. Virtually all Iran's aircraft are pre-1979, but one would think something a bit more modern could have been found for an executive aircraft. In any...

This is like watching a modern reenactment of the reign of George III. He should have abdicated due to what was likely a severe bi-polar condition that left him, even by the admission of his loyalists, periodically in the grip of “madness.” But rulers, however mentally challenged are still...
