Welcome from another west Michigan member. You’ve found the no. 1 place for African safari info. I’m in Chicago right now headed to ORD on my way for my first African adventure.

Some of the larger airports (O'hare in Chicago) ran mine thru x-ray last trip. Smaller (Anchorage) they open and inspect and scan with me present to watch. All have been easy though. Don't sweat it. Just give yourself plenty of time.
