    .416 Rigby & 9.3x62 suggestions and considerations

Oh yeah - 1 more thing that I found was very important - trim your brass to uniform length. That allows you to put on a light crimp that I found to be important for consistency and smaller groups.

    .416 Rigby & 9.3x62 suggestions and considerations

In my rigby I use 400 gr bullet (old TBBC is my favorite, but the new Hornady DGX seems to work well also), H4831, WW Mag primer, and Hornady or Norma brass. My load chrony's right at 2500 fps, no pressure signs. Works like a champ. For a practice load I shoot Montana Cast 400gr with 5744 at...

    .416 Rigby reloading

I load my 416 and almost everything else on a RCBS Rock Chucker. My dies are RCBS/Lee/Hornady/Redding/Pacific/Texan and some that are too old to have a recognizable brand name. They all work well but RCBS is my favorite based on customer support. Still use an old Lyman #55 powder measure for...

    300 H&H reloading help

I've got 2 of them. Most accurate load is 180 gr Hdy Interbond w/ near max load of H4350. My hunting load is 180 gr Interbond or Nosler Acubond pushed by H4831.

Rifle and load options for mixed bag safari in C.A.R.

I was going to use it on a Warthog but ended up missing him completely. Everything else was too far, over 75 yds, to trust the handgun.

    Rifles you will NEVER sell

Pre 64 Mod 70 in 264 WM (named "Betty") Pre 64 Mod 70 in 300 H&H Pre 64 Mod 70 in 375 H&H (named "Susie") Dad gave me the 264 when I graduated High School A LONG TIME AGO. Barrel finally went south so it now has a new barrel and shoots where I point it. Just shot a Rcky Mtn Bighorn with it a...

    Question about crimping

I crimp pistol rounds, 375 H&H, and 416 Rigby. All other calibers and cartridges don't get a crimp. Couple of things about crimping: 1. Essential that brass length is consistent. Trim it to be sure. I use a Lee case length gauge in my battery powered electric drill. Fast, simple, no set up...

So I should site in 1" high when hunting North of the equator and 1" low when hunting in the South.

    Hunting Elephant

This is what totally pisses me off. Obamavitch is so fng stupid. Everybody else in the world is hunting Polar Bear, Elephant, Jaguar, Cheetah and on and on but I, being an American citizen, am forced to sit on the sideline. What's smart or proper about that. Somebody needs to slap the USF&WS...

    Hornady Bullets

OK, I'll admit that the Hornady is not a "premuim" (ie., expensive) bullet but I've never found Hornady bullets lacking. My first South African PH preferred the Hornady Interlock to any other bullet. I'll also admit that there have been technical improvements in bullets over the years but...

    Nosler Accubonds in Africa?

You will like them just fine. Can't tell the number of animals I've taken with them, both here in US and overseas. They WORK.
