    Round Chambered…or Not?

Lets not dist all Canucks. Every safari I ask and have done what the PH said. Every safari was round chambered weapon on safe, and always cleared and confirmed before entering camp. One I was actually told something like, "are you hear to shoot" stuff not normally standing around if you want...

Northern Lights in South Georgia. Get outside now!!

Was a good show here on Van Isle BC last night. Another clear one tonight, lots who missed the show last night may have another chance tonight. Did not wave and move like it does way up north. But still worth staying up to see. MB

Importation or Transiting Procedures Through Countries with Weapons & Ammunition

That's good to know. Wonder what the sig requirement really is? Maybe a random check and confirmation? I must have the "check" him circled as every trip out in last few years has required sig, you are correct that CBSA officers mostly have no clue and Its us who inform and insist on the stamp...

    Questions about first African hunt

NO not a poor experience. Just know what it is and make up YOUR mind if that's something YOU want to do. Its NOT a canned hunt, its probably a CBL hunt, do some research and see if that's what YOU would enjoy. I did that type of hunt in 2021, exhilarating as you are on the ground in close...

Importation or Transiting Procedures Through Countries with Weapons & Ammunition

Did not know that, all I have gotten always needed signatures upon return, on all but one trip (Delta lost them for 4 months) weapons were accompanied by me. Last trip Ottawa failed to click complete in their system. After one year I received monthly threatening emails telling me to comply...

Importation or Transiting Procedures Through Countries with Weapons & Ammunition

The Canadian exit, entry paperwork that must be completed and approved from Ottawa prior to exit was only documentation we provided, both entry and exit to US. Same For Ethiopia and SA and all countries I transited or visited. Be SURE to have CBSA sign upon your return. You MUST send to Ottatwa...

Importation or Transiting Procedures Through Countries with Weapons & Ammunition

Best wishes for your trip. I certainly hope all goes as stated. Last time I transited US (2018 and friends did in late 2022) with luggage and guns we/they all had to clear customs upon arrival in Seattle, get luggage and then clear and recheck all in again, then do the whole same procedure in...

    Leopard or elephant in 2025

As above, I would give Wayne a call and see what he has. Yes in Zim but I am sure he will be able to find you a "proper" weapon to use. What he states is completely followed and true. No BS to get a deposit. MB

    Age for kids?

@Tally-Ho HUNTING SAFARIS has the answer. Only you as their parent guardian knows their capabilities, maturity, likes and dislikes, attention span and personality. It also depends on the hunt type. Who said the child has to hunt to be exposed and have outstanding lifetime memories made. A SA or...

Trophy Room Build after 45 years of hunting

These spaces wow me my whole life. You would be escorting me out as I could ask questions and talk stories for days in there. Would unfold my cot in center. A room like yours is what sparked my hunting fire, as a kid dad and I hunted local birds, but when we were invited to the farms property...

Trophy Room Build after 45 years of hunting

Also the "action mount" of the dog running in the room. Certainly adds charm. :giggle: In all honesty this is a real amazing space being completed. What lifelong memories, stories and time will be spent sharing in there. MB

    Barnes TSX or not

Another vote for the accubond 260 gr, shot my lion with it no issues, also croc on same safari. That same bullet has also dropped a leopard, moose, grizzly and elk. Worked well so I have no need to change. MB
