Too bad you can't get it out. That would be a cool project. My first car was a 37 Dodge coupe.

The Ultimate Tiger Fishing Fly Rod Package (Works For Salmon & Steelhead Too)

@rookhawk, I have forwarded your listing to a good friend who is an avid fly fisherman, but not a member of this forum. Although I plan to seek revenge on the tiger fish that got away, I am no fly fisherman, and your wonderful equipment would be wasted on me; in fact, if it wasn't for the...

"Obsolete" items that you still use

That's awesome. Was the opportunity to hunt with them ever extended?

Things you survived, but probably shouldn't have

I was never based there, my background is civilian not military. 86/87 would have been about the earliest I would have flown the B-23, I flew it in the movie Tucker, which was filmed in 87ish. 83-85 is possibly when the tail wheel components were swapped out. World Airways owned the airplane...

You are most welcome. She actually sounds nicer than some of the music and movie people I've flown for over the years. I had no idea she hunted, I hope she realized who was caring for her. Did you share any hunting stories?

That had to have been a great honor, and I mean no disrespect. I knew that was the Queen - just my opinion, she was born to her role and reputation in life - you sir, earned yours.

Very dapper. Who is that lady and what was she doing? She almost blocked your shot.

Things you survived, but probably shouldn't have

What a small world. When you asked about PARs, Castle AFB is what popped into my head. I flew Mike Bogue's B-23 Dragon, there was (is?) a B-23 Dragon in the museum at Castle. Parts of the tail gear assembly off the museum's airplane were swapped onto Bogue's B-23 prior to him acquiring the...

Your opinion on selecting a .500 NE 3” or .470 NE?

Same here. I hope I can achieve the same level of comfort and accuracy with my 500 as with my 450/400. I understand about the ammo; it took a few boxes to get use to it, now I look forward to shooting it.

Your opinion on selecting a .500 NE 3” or .470 NE?

@Wildwillalaska & @Hunter-Habib, I've shot a croc at close range with my double - frontal brain, both barrels. It was awesome. You guys have fun.

Your opinion on selecting a .500 NE 3” or .470 NE?

My criteria would be: What am I planning to hunt, how many of them, and how often? What other rifles, if any, do I already own? Am I considering hunting elephant, 1 or more than 1, once or multiple safaris? How about cape buffalo or hippo - water, land, both? Plains game? Without knowing...
