Do you have your ideal rifle or are you still looking for it?

Still looking, the ones I have just don't seem to go with what I'm wearing - simply repeating what my wife says when she buys another pair of shoes.

Buy or rent a Satellite phone?

I have owned a SAT phone for years, I purchase a yearly subscription plan. I've taken it on every trip to Africa, took it to Australia, and carry it in either my truck or jeep depending on which I am driving. There are cell towers in Africa, and most camps have Starlink; however, situations...

What is the farthest you have regulated a double rifle?

    Thank you.

What is the farthest you have regulated a double rifle?

Please help me understand the use of the term "regulated". I read references to rifles being "regulated" to cross at certain distances, then read Red Leg's post which cites bullets remaining parallel. SStomcat talks about "regulating" at longer distances, then reverting to a 100 yd zero and...

    Dear Guns International...

Online Hunting Auctions - OnlineHuntingAuctions.com will display closing/hammer prices. It costs nothing to create an account. Pre-approval is required to bid, but it often covers multiple auctions.

    Indoor Range

Update on the noise concerns. As previously stated, large caliber rifles are shot from outside the confines of the room, 5 and 10 yrd pistol fire is within the room, and 15 yds is at the doorway. The other night, when I opted to shoot my Thompson, I was about 5yds from the front - so 23' from...

A How To: Shooting Doubles in the Dark…and subzero

I was going to say, "I missed a lot growing up amongst modern conveniences in California", but now - there's new meaning to his and hers.

Steve, If you come over, feel free to bring your bow and arrows - I'll get some hay bales from the neighbor.

I did offer him a room, access to the range, any guns, and ammo; there's got to be something about freezing your ass we are not privy to.

A How To: Shooting Doubles in the Dark…and subzero

You guys are killing me with the outhouse references. I don't know what's worse - the insulated seats or the idea of his-n-hers. I have to ask; is it his-n-hers as in husband and wife, brother and sister, cousins? Or, forgive me God - do all three apply to the same two people? Sorry, butt...

    Indoor Range

Moving to this area has been such a refreshing change from what was happening in California. People here are genuinely nice, sincere, and polite. There have only two pronouns - sir, and ma'am. On the road, in a store, at a restaurant, people are courteous - there's no rush to be first in...

A How To: Shooting Doubles in the Dark…and subzero

Will, Very cozy looking setup, and I must commend your dedication to endure harsh conditions in pursuit of accomplishing your goal. But buddy, I gotta tell ya - from a guy who won't open the door of the refrigerator unless I'm fully dressed, the idea of a blue foam ass-gasket to prevent...

What did you get yourself for Christmas?

The 7.3 is still my favorite. There were two issues in your year model: the turbo bolts breaking and a wiring harness in the engine compartment which on some vehicles was routed too close to the actuator arm of the turbo resulting in wear and eventual shorting of the wires in the harness. At...

What did you get yourself for Christmas?

Nice. I've got a 2020 F350 Diesel crewcab, shortbed and I love it. My favorite was my 7.3, but when it started spitting out the turbo bolts I replaced it. I got the "Limited" version, so it's got the old-man comfort package. I added a shell and a full-length slide out bed. Enjoy your new truck.
